I'm Rashi Goyal

I hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Counselling Skills. I am a certified Family & Couple Therapist and EFT Practitioner. Therapy Process

Therapy is an investment in your well-being: a space to reconnect with yourself and grow. Just like an empty chair can hold what’s been unspoken or unresolved, therapy helps you sit with and work through those inner experiences.

Understand Yourself Better

Explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns to uncover what’s influencing your present and strengthen your self-awareness.

Process Difficult Emotions

Navigate grief, anxiety, stress, or relationship issues with support, learning to process rather than suppress.

Build Practical Coping Skills

Gain tools to manage life’s challenges, improve communication, and build emotional resilience.

Experience Growth & Clarity

Discover your solutions, make empowered choices, and move towards a more fulfilling and conscious life.

How Does this Process Work?

Connect & Begin

Your journey starts with a complimentary 15-minute discovery call to understand your concerns and explore whether we’re the best fit to support you in your therapy journey. We then move forward with the first full session (intake), diving into your history, current challenges, and therapy goals.

Build & Explore

Together, we create a safe, trusting space where we explore your emotions, thought patterns, and behaviours. Therapy may include emotional processing, skill-building, and insight development.

Grow & Heal

As we move forward, therapy becomes a safe space for deep self-understanding, emotional growth, and meaningful change. Together, we nurture your strengths, build resilience, and help you reconnect with a more grounded, empowered version of yourself.

Our Client Say

Rashi is an empathetic listener and passionate about her work in the area of mental health. She is skilled at conducting workshops and training sessions on a wide range of topics. She believes in working towards empowering her clients and ensures a safe, nonjudgmental environment when facilitating her sessions. Through "The Empty Chair", Rashi also does home-visits to clients not able to travel - a service that's very rare to find. I strongly recommend her to people struggling with issues of mental health.

Divya Srivastava, Director at Silver Lining Wellness Centre Pvt. Ltd.

I want to take this opportunity to appreciate Rashi and the journey of my therapy with her.

She provided clarity to my thoughts by literally anchoring some of the important thought directions like a guide, provided that space to open up about my issues I held onto for very long.

I have been taking therapy with Ms. Rashi Goyal for over 6 months and I am grateful to her for many things especially her perseverance. I would highly recommend Rashi to individuals and organisations for her honed skills, wisdom and commitment.

Rashi Goyal was very patient and calm. She understood everything I had to on my mind even before starting the counciling. She went out of the way and did more than I asked for. I have seen some amazing results and changes in no time. I would definitely recommend her for anyone who is looking for counciling or getting their mental health better.

I would really like to thank her for everything

I decided to seek therapy/help sometime in the months of April-May of 2020. It doesn’t come as a shocker that the world we knew had turned upside down, but my own personal world, had taken a turn I couldn’t imagine. And I needed help. It was during this time, that I found Rashi and her service. If this year brought me one good thing, it would most definitely be sessions that I had on a regular basis with her. She provided me with a safe space, a listening ear, a new & better perspective to view the situations that life threw my way. But most of all, she was patient. She made sure that I felt heard.

6 months later, I feel happier, I feel lighter, and yes, life is full of ups and downs, but I’ve got it in me to overcome whatever the path may offer :)

FAQ'S

What is The Empty Chair and what does counselling involve?

The Empty Chair is a counselling and psychotherapy centre dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and compassionate space for individuals at every stage of life. We support a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns from relationship and parenting challenges to stress, anxiety, and life transitions.

Counselling at The Empty Chair is a collaborative process that offers you a confidential, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It’s not about giving advice, but about helping you build clarity, resilience, and self-awareness with the support of a trained professional. Whether you seek therapy for yourself, your family, or your team, we’re here to walk alongside you, both in-person and online, on your path to emotional well-being.

Why do I need to pay to talk to someone when I can talk to my friends or family?

While friends and family can offer comfort, love, and a listening ear, emotional challenges often require more than just support; they require specialised care.

A trained mental health professional brings a level of objectivity, confidentiality, and expertise that loved ones, however well-meaning, may not be equipped to provide. Counsellors undergo years of education and supervised training to learn how to navigate complex emotional patterns, unhelpful behaviours, and deeper psychological processes.

Think of it this way: just like you wouldn’t rely on a friend to treat a broken bone, you wouldn’t expect them to guide you through anxiety, trauma, grief, or long-standing emotional patterns. Therapy is a space that’s dedicated just for you, where your emotions are held with care, and your growth is supported with skill.

It’s not just about talking, it’s about healing, understanding, and transforming with the help of someone who is professionally trained to walk that journey with you.

How do I know if I’m ready for therapy?

You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin therapy. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply curious about exploring your thoughts and emotions more deeply, it might be the right time. Therapy is not about being “ready” in a perfect sense; it’s about being open to understanding yourself and receiving support along the way. If you're wondering whether it's time, that in itself is a good place to begin.

Are psychologists and psychiatrists different?

Yes, they are different, both in their training and in how they support your mental health.

A psychologist is trained in the field of Psychology and works primarily through talk therapy (psychotherapy) and other evidence-based techniques to help you understand and manage your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.

A psychiatrist, on the other hand, is a medical doctor (M.D.) who specialises in mental health and is qualified to prescribe medication for conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and more.

While psychologists focus on therapy, psychiatrists focus on diagnosis and medical treatment. In many cases, they work together, combining therapy and medication when needed, to offer you holistic support.

Can the counsellor solve all my problems?

At The Empty Chair Counselling Centre, we believe that therapy is not about handing out ready-made solutions; it’s about walking with you as you explore, understand, and work through your challenges in a way that’s meaningful to you.

We follow an eclectic approach, which means your therapist will take the time to understand your unique story through a detailed intake process and create a tailor-made therapeutic plan, because when it comes to healing, one size never fits all.

A counsellor’s role is not to "fix" you or solve your problems for you, but to empower you with insight, tools, and emotional strength so that you can navigate life with greater clarity and confidence. Think of your counsellor as a facilitator, not an expert with all the answers, someone who supports you in finding your own.

Real change happens when we work together, not in dependence, but in collaboration.

How confidential is therapy at The Empty Chair Counselling Centre?

Everything you share in therapy is held in strict confidence. As a mental health professional, I’m ethically and legally bound to protect your privacy. What you say stays between us, with a few rare exceptions such as situations involving risk of harm to yourself or others, or if required by law. These limits will be discussed in our first session, so you can feel safe and informed from the start.
